Objectives of the lecture
To describe various medical imaging modalities by presenting:
- their physical principles
- the acquisition devices
- the image formation and the corresponding reconstruction techniques
- the specific image processing problems
Detailed program:
- Introduction to different imaging modalities (history, classification, ...)
- X and X-ray Scanner
- Nuclear Imaging: PET and SPECT
- Ultrasound
- Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Optical Tomography
Acquired Skills
Knowledge of the main medical imaging techniques and associated issues.
