PhD subject

Discrimination between micro-organisms and their environment using multivariate signal processing, for robust and rapid counting and detection.

Director : Christophe Collet
Co-director : Yoshitate Takakura

The aim of that thesis is to create an automated system that improve contaminants detection time while keeping a false detection rate as low as possible. To accomplish that, I split my work in three main tasks:

  • Building of the optronic system that will acquire the signal.
  • System caracterization and signal acquisition process modeling.
  • Signal/Image processing in order to rapidly detect and count the contaminants.
